I am a qualified Child And Adolescent Psychotherapist and an accredited member of UKCP. The study included theoretical perspective in psychotherapy, child observation and child mental health. This enabled me to acquire considerable experience of working with children, young people and families with complex needs from diverse backgrounds. I have worked in a variety of settings ranging from under 5’s, primary and secondary education, CAMHS and Social  Services.

I am happy to work with clients from different ages, genders, countries, ethnic backgrounds and religious beliefs. I can counsel in English and Gujerati.

I offer integrative approach in working with children young people with behavioural and emotional difficulties and use a multidisciplinary approach to work within the context of the child’s life, for example, the school or family. I see a child individually, in a group with other children and with parents or carers. At times, I may see parents without the child being present. I also tailor my approach to the individual child and work in an age-appropriate way.

I have full professional indemnity insurance and hold an enhanced DBS [CRB] check. I have regular supervision which helps me reflect on my work and keep my practice up to date. I abide by Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Psychotherapy according to UKCP requirement.
